Bio

Natalia Fentisova (1986) was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She moved to Finland at the age of 16 where she started to paint. Later she moved to Milan to study painting & contemporary art in the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera. After graduating she moved to Berlin in 2010 to continue her studies in art and media in Berlin Academy of Fine Arts. Since then she was working with film, video installations & audiovisual performances. In her work she explores psychological and physical transformations, questions of cultural, social and gender identities. Her approach is intuitive rather than rational, the style is surreal and expressive.
